ARCHAUS CONSULTING GROUP is a turnkey architectural firm specializing in architecture, interior design and turnkey construction solutions. We are design-orientated and our buildings focus on functionality, cost effectiveness and environmental awareness. Our studio is committed to excellence in custom architecture and design solutions for residential, community, institutional and industrial buildings.
Established in 1961 by the late Mr. Cedric Hannay, our firm has evolved considerably over the past 50 years to reflect the dynamic and diverse cultural background of our Rainbow nation. We have a broad skill set that covers the fields of architecture, design, construction, civil engineering and project management. With our feet firmly set in the present we however draw great inspiration from our founder and have kept close to the original professional ethos of functionality, cost effectiveness and innovation in what we do.
Our mission is to use architecture and design to positively impact communities both economically and culturally - this is evidenced by the type of projects that we have been engaged in during the past 50 years as Peter Key & Hannay Inc (1963), Cedric Hannay (1982), Archaus Architects (2008) and now as Archaus Consulting Group (2016) - these changes speak volumes to the concerted evolution of the firm and at every growth junction we have executed bigger and better projects.
We are based in one of the cleanest and most industrious towns in South Africa which is host to the largest steel firms in Africa - Columbus Steel and Thos Begbie established in 1887 by the scotsman Thomas Begbie. Our scope and reach however extends beyond this industrial hub and we have successfully executed projects across the length and breadth of South Africa.
ACG combines rigorous design with construction management experience in order to achieve buildings that are not only aesthetically pleasing but practical, financially viable and provide high investment value for the owners. The resultant outcome is that our work is current but timeless, functional but comfortable, aesthetically pleasing but cost effective with a universal appeal firmly rooted in function and buildings which are ultimately enticing and captivating.
